When I was growing up I wanted to be a Doctor. I think for the most part I wanted to become a Doctor so that I could help people. As I grew older Doctor turned into nurse. So when I graduated high school I enrolled into a nursing program and became an LPN.
I nursed for about 10 years before I decided it wasn't for me anymore. Now don't get me wrong I loved the actual nursing part of it but the political part of it was what eventually led me to make a change in my life.
Now by this time I had my daughter and I was pregnant with my second. After she was born I took up a few different miscellaneous jobs trying to find something I was passionate about but unfortunately did not succeed. Then I became pregnant with my son and since I now had 3 babies I decided to stay home for a time so I could focus solely on them.
Now I know it is a privilege to be able to be a stay at home parent and I cherished the time I got to spend at home with them. I however was not meant to be a stay at home parent so my search for a career that I loved and would make me happy continued.
I started working at my girlfriend's salon part-time because I thought the beauty industry would be a great fit for me.
Turns out I absolutely fell in love with it and here I am today!
I took a chance on myself and enrolled in that first eyelash course and never looked back! Now I am my own boss making my own rules and living a life I could only have dreamed of before.
There is something to be said about a woman who truly feels confident in her own skin. I know for me the first time I ever got lash extensions I felt like I could conquer the world! It's my mission to help all women find that confidence inside themselves. Sometimes it just takes a set of lashes to realize what a bad ass you really are!
